With his debut release, Jens Lumé (known in the studio as Jens Mueller) steps into the light with two tracks that feel less like an introduction and more like a long-overdue arrival. Rooted in the slow burn of afro melodic music and wrapped in layers of delicate melancholy, Dar Zemestan and Nakosh (ناخوش) are deeply personal pieces — a heartfelt homage to Persian culture, folk traditions, and the emotional landscapes they carry across generations.

Dar Zemestan — meaning In Winter in Farsi — drifts like frost through a candlelit room. Built on hypnotic, unhurried grooves and shimmering melodic textures, the track evokes the stillness of a cold season and the warmth of memory within it. There is grief here, but also beauty — the kind that only survives in quiet moments.

Nakosh (ناخوش) — Unwell, or Out of Tune — carries a different weight. Its title hints at something unsettled, something not quite right in the world, yet the music itself finds a strange, aching grace in that dissonance. Persian folk sensibilities weave through every measure, honoring a musical lineage that deserves to be heard far beyond its borders.
